HISTORY
IGOR expanded its operations during the late 1980's with the addition of a technical-services division. We currently provide all statewide field services (equipment installation and maintenance) for the Illinois LINK (electronic benefits transfer) system.
IGOR was founded in 1980 as an Illinois Corporation to provide secure-courier services. IGOR's first contract was with the Illinois Department of Public Aid (IDPA) to deliver food stamps and checks. IGOR later expanded its services to IDPA to operate issuance offices in several cities. IGOR continues to provide warehousing, courier, and delivery services to IDPA today.
IGOR approached the Illinois Lottery in 1981 with the concept of providing direct delivery of tickets to retailers. Prior to IGOR's offer retailers were required to pick up tickets from a participating bank. IGOR was granted a contract to deliver tickets to 600 retailers located in the Chicago area. Over time the Lottery expanded IGOR's delivery territory and in 1992 made IGOR responsible for statewide distribution of all lottery tickets.
